"You know what? Joy is the only guide. I'm going to have fun regardless." -Joseph Fiennes
Today, tap into your inner-child...and live just for the moment! Allow the child version of you to come out and play. Act as if it's your birthday and you're 7
again. Or, imagine yourself when you were a child at this time of year, and feel the excitement and magic of the holidays! Let your imagination expand and feel the freedom and joy of your day. Explore, be silly, smile a lot, and make things "fun" all day long!
Why? Read on.
As a young child, from birth until the age of 5, it is said that we make the greatest progress in our growth during the shortest period of time. We learn so much, and one of the ways we do this is by having lots of fun. Children just expect to have fun! They can see the adventure in everything. Their imagination allows them to seek out all kinds of fun as they explore, create, and dream big.
Why not apply this same attitude to your life today and see where it takes you? What if you expect only wonderful fun things to happen to you today and every single day? What if you use your imagination at a whole new level? What would happen if you took the seriousness out of things and got
creative. How would it change the way you complete your tasks, bringing in only fun, new ways of being, thinking, and doing all day long?
A child’s imagination is amazing and magnificent! We always create what we expect, so think of the fun you would have if you allow your imagination to expand to a much higher level...and expect the best in every aspect of your day. Do you realize how powerful you are? You need to realize that you are capable of so much more than you think. And the first step is to have lots of fun every day... growing your imagination.
How can you get to this feel good, fun place?
Keep asking yourself throughout the day, "Am I having fun at this moment?" Yes?...great! No?... Create fun! Do not underestimate the value of having fun. In order to feel more fun and joy at any moment, flip the switch to more joyful expected outcomes about that moment’s activity or situation. Why? Because, love is always at the heart of real fun. And what you are thinking, speaking, or doing is causing you to feel love... or not. All you need to do is feel more love in the very moment you are in than the one just before it. That is real fun!
And, at the end of the day, tell someone you love them. Be grateful for their love in return. Then, fall asleep tonight with a smile on your face, giggling about all of the fun you had!
