"To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch heaven.” ~ Johannes Gaertner
Little Gems of Wisdom & Fun from Mary Lynn Ziemer
First, I would just like to thank you, with all my heart, for reading this blog today!
One of the easiest ways to get yourself to that feel good place required to make your dreams come true, is to be grateful... all day long... for everyone and everything. Studies show that those who make gratitude a common practice around the goals they set, reach their goals at least 20% more quickly than those who don’t. So, whether you want great health, improved relationships, more money, more friends, a new job, or just more joy, feel more gratitude for everyone and everything, both big and small, all day long.
Use these 2 very specific gratitude techniques to feel really good and get what you want faster.
1. Make thankfulness your new auto-pilot way of living and interacting with others. Make a habit of it and mean it! Start practicing now to get the most out of it. Feel it and express it frequently. Say "thank you" to each and every person, adult and child, you come into contact with... today and everyday. Tell them you care and be specific. If you look for something in another person to be grateful for, you will find it.
Begin your practice today by saying to those special people in your life, "I love you," "I appreciate you," "Thank you for all you do for me," and "I am so grateful to have you in my life." There are endless kind words you can use to express your gratitude and love for others, whether family, friends, colleagues, or strangers. Use texts, notes, cards, letters, email, and, of course, your most pleasant and authentic voice often. Mix it up and reinforce the powerful message of love and gratitude wherever you are, with whatever you are doing.
2. Feel gratitude as you focus on your specific goals. For example, if your goal is creating more money in your life, be sure you feel gratitude for everything you already have. Feel as though everything you already have is what you truly want. Then, take it to a greater level of detail. Be grateful for every single penny you have now, and every single dollar you give away, or use to pay for services. Be sure to be grateful for the money you use to pay your light bill, your water bill, and your phone bill.
Think of it this way. As you are grateful for keeping another employed, you are reinforcing your positive and loving feelings about others and the money you spend. You deepen your feelings of gratitude for the things that bring you daily convenience, like staying in touch with clients, family, and friends. Or, having the pleasure of taking a hot shower with clean water, or electricity to see with at night after dark. Remember this: when you want more money, you must be grateful for all of the money you already have, no matter how little or great that amount is. You must feel really good about the topic of money overall. So, every time you spend a dime, stop and tell yourself how rich and grateful you are to have this money to spend.
Why is the feeling of gratitude so important? Remember, we create everything in our lives by the way we feel. When we feel gratitude, we feel good. In fact, it's impossible to feel negative feelings and gratitude at the same time. So, the key is to shift to feelings of gratitude as often as you can. If you want to have an amazing relationship, you need to be grateful for every kind word and every smile you receive today from that person. When you want to heal yourself, you need to be thankful for what you can physically do now. Focus on it all day long, and let go of thoughts about the rest.
At the root of it all, gratitude helps us become calm, and calmness is the key to success in every area of our life. So, be grateful, and say thank you as often as you can. When you begin to do this, every single day of your life will become more magical than you have likely ever imagined!
Thank you... always and forever! I am so very grateful that you are reading my blog today. With all my heart, I wish you a life full of love, gratitude, and fun!
