Savor the Moment

Little Gems of Wisdom & Fun from Mary Lynn Ziemer

Savor this special day, one moment at a time! Enjoy yourself wherever you are and in whatever you are choosing to do. Don't be concerned about things that have happened in the past, and do not worry about things that have yet to occur. The only thing that truly matters is that you are filled with peace and love inside, right now.

Happiness and joy originate in the present moment...from the inside, not out. The happier you feel, the calmer you become, and the faster you create what you want as you pave your way to your next experience. Along this path, you will touch everyone in the most beautiful way…with joy!

Remember, you are always physically living 0nly in the present moment. It’s the only time that truly exists and the only time that matters. Everything else is either a memory or a speculation. This moment requires our undivided attention and focus if we are to evoke those good feelings required to create the life of our dreams.

So, embrace this moment. Decide to consciously create your life... it is right in front of you!

How can you do this? Think of your day as segments that you create as you go. Just as in our real life we experience creating in the “one room” that we are in at a time. So, the trick is, stay in the room, focusing on the activity of your choice in the most fun and loving way. As I feel gratitude for the plane ride I’m experiencing right now (my “one room”), and my computer (that I’ve named Samantha ☺) that allows me to write and feel good while I’m flying, I am making the most of this moment. I feel joyful as I type and the sun warms my shoulder, flying above the clouds at 30,000 feet. I’m grateful for the water I’m drinking and the quiet that my headphones provide. I’m thankful for a window seat and a smooth ride, a direct flight, kind

attendants and a most reasonable price.

We create everything based on how we feel, so we must make the most of each experience. Let’s be sure each precious present moment is given the full attention that it deserves. Let’s be fully engaged and mindful of our thoughts, words, and actions in the only moment that matters... NOW!

The concept is simple. As you are living every moment, carry love and gratitude with you in each activity during your day. This is what it means to be truly present.

Have a warm heart for everyone, knowing all people are doing the best they can, including you. Be quick to offer a smile and you’ll feel good too. Then, stay in that smile...feeling and knowing the joy of your love and gratitude from deep within.

Send warm feelings and think kind thoughts about everything and everyone, all the time. Even during those activities that seem mundane, you will begin to feel more happiness and joy immediately when you are overflowing with love and kind thoughts.

As you practice staying in the moment, here is the key. Look around and feel that what you want is what you already have. You will feel love and gratitude for it, and you will have more joy in that moment.

Then, watch the feelings of happiness create even more for you to be happy about going forward! As you consciously pave your way to your next moment with love,

you will see more and more of what you truly want unfold effortlessly in front of your physical eyes. This is the magic that living in the present moment, with love and a calm mindset, creates.

Have an absolutely magical holiday, and a day full of moments that radiate love, gratitude, and fun!
