Little Gems of Wisdom & Fun from Mary Lynn Ziemer
If you’ve been reading Little Gems of Wisdom & FUN, you've likely been practicing feeling more gratitude than ever before. (If this is your first time reading this email, you can go here to read all of the previous Little Gems of Wisdom & FUN emails/blogs)
If you have already been feeling more gratitude for everything and everyone in your life, you are beginning to build a more consistent foundation of wonderful feelings to operate from. You are ready to take your life to the next level. Neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett states in her recent book, “How Emotions are Made” that your emotions create your reality, so you need to feel consistently good to create what you want. The more love and gratitude you feel for everyone and everything around you, including you, the faster you will get what you want.
Now it’s time to decide what your ideal life looks like and begin to feel grateful for it in advance…as though it already exists. This is so important in creating the life of your dreams. If you want to create more positive and wonderful things in your life, you need to do things in a new way. You need to go beyond what you would normally do so that you know in your heart that it is happening now.
Here’s how:
Step 1: Find a place that’s quiet, where you can feel calm. Decide what it is that you want in life. How do you envision your perfect life right now? Think about it in vivid detail! Make a list of everything that comes to your mind and write it all down. A Harvard study with MBA students has proven that when you write your goals down you will be 1,000% more successful in the results you achieve.
*Don’t let your current reality get in the way! If you want to reach new and higher levels of achievement, you need to unleash your imagination. Ask yourself how your life (your career, your relationship, your financial situation, your health, etc.) would look if it were ideal. Don’t think about how you will reach your goals just yet. Just think of it as a magic genie. You can have whatever it is that you want. Setting goals and intentions allows you to consciously get where it is that you truly want to go. Dream BIG and be bold. If you want to go beyond anything you have ever achieved before you have to think big. Otherwise, you will stay at the level of achievement that you are currently used to.
Step 2: Next, prioritize the list and pick the intention that feels most exciting to you. This is key. When you really want something, and it is uniquely yours, you will feel inspired to take whatever action necessary to make it happen. The better you feel about something, the easier it is to act, and the more you allow your creative genius, that Infinite Source of Power within you, to assist you.
Step 3: Create a mantra that includes a statement of gratitude to use throughout your day. For example...
If you want to be healthy, you could say repeatedly: "I am so grateful that I am perfectly healthy." Or, "Thank you, I am perfectly healthy."
Repeating it over and over is the way. If you want more clients or sales, you would say: "Thank you! I have 5 new clients every month." Or, "I am so thankful that I always exceed my monthly goals."
As you think, speak, and feel gratitude, you begin to create whatever your mind is focusing on. Studies prove that when we express gratitude, we immediately feel better and we create more of it. And we create our goals 20% percent more quickly. Why does this happen? Having gratitude in advance creates the feeling of knowing that you can achieve your goal.
Be sure you create a mantra that creates a feeling of knowing that you can achieve it.. You use it often, over and over again throughout your day. While you say your mantra repeatedly you are rewiring your brain’s neural pathways. You are creating a new better feeling and deeper belief system. With constant repetitions, you will create the feeling of knowing that YOU can do it!
Step 4: Now, put a picture in your mind envisioning yourself as if you already have the outcome that you want. As you see that picture every time you repeat that mantra, know that it’s already happened.
This quote from Neale Donald Walsch's book, “Conversations With God” Book 1, reinforces the importance of this process.
"This place of knowing is a place of intense and incredible gratitude. It is thankfulness in advance. And that, perhaps, is the biggest key to creation: to be grateful before, and for, the creation. Such taking for granted is not only condoned, but encouraged. It is the sure sign of mastery. All Masters know in advance that the deed has been done."
In other words...see it as a “done deal.” And it will be!
Have an absolutely magical week full of love, gratitude and fun, fun, fun!
