"Keep your eye on the prize" and “stay the course”. These sayings may sound cliche, but there is a reason we repeat these kinds of mantras. Cultivating persistence and consistency is SO worth the effort! It is the practice that will bring us good feelings and a calm mindset. It is crucial to our success!

It’s been a year of great change, and it’s important to ask ourselves where we are with the intentions that we’ve set for ourselves. It’s a great time to focus on our strengths and our habits, and make certain that we’re staying the course for the wonderful outcomes we imagined earlier this year. Yes, the environment may have changed. However, we all continue to have endless opportunities for fun and growth in every area of our lives if we can just focus on them and stay the course. This is the way to creating a life that we love.

Only when we keep at it, when we keep going, will we begin to see the evidence of what we desire.

The gift that a calm mindset brings requires consistency. Consistency seals the deal. It asks for patience, resolve, and determination through repetition. Repetition is the critical aspect of establishing a habit or practice. Think about the first thing you do when you get out of bed in the morning or the simple habit of washing your face and brushing your teeth. You’ve developed a routine at certain times of the day. Now this practice is a habit. It’s part of your daily routine.

Your Most Important Habit...


Be persistent by creating a new habit that will serve you well in achieving what your heart truly wants. This one, most important habit that can truly change your life in such an amazing, positive way. It is the habit of maintaining a calm mindset. It is the habit of caring for your state of mind. To be more precise, it’s about maintaining that calm mindset in the present moment. This is what "living in the present" truly means. It's the ability to feel good and be calm in any situation. When we are truly living in the present, we will know that we are, because we will only feel good.


We are creatures of habit, and are incredibly powerful beings! It is so wonderful to know that how we create our lives is up to us. It doesn’t get much better than that! So, let’s take advantage of our human nature and love of forming habits, and use this to help us create what we want most effectively and easily.


It isn’t enough to pay attention to our mindset every now and again. Just like any habit, we must do it consistently to get the results we want. We must pay attention to it every day and often throughout our day.


How? By consistently checking in on our own mindset. And by feeling gratitude and love for everyone and everything, including ourselves. We need to feel love for the essence of who we are. And then we need to feel love and gratitude for others, simply for the fact that we all exist. Keep this in mind as often as possible, many times a day. This is the action that creates a calm state of mind. This is how we take advantage of our routine and make it work in our favor.


Because we create everything in our lives by the way we feel, we need to maintain those good feelings and a calm mindset. This allows us to speed up the journey towards greater health, deeper loving relationships, successful careers that we love, time for fun, etc. When we have the right mindset, we always feel good. And, in order to create that mindset, we need to consciously pay attention to it.

So, keep your eye on your goal! Stay with that picture of what you want in your mind. Then keep going by creating a daily habit that makes you feel great and brings you a beautiful sense of peace and calm.

As you do this daily, throughout your day, you will find that you have successfully developed a new and powerful habit. Not only will this feed your soul, it will become as automatic as washing your face and brushing your teeth... an essential routine within your day.

Keep moving forward every day as you have fun with it, one step at a time. If you’re feeling something else, just look at it as a wonderful opportunity right now in this present moment. See it as a loving little nudge, coming from within... a request for consistency so you can feel great and have more fun than ever before.
